I was a Machine Learning Intern at Philips Research in Cambridge, MA
since May 2016 till Dec 2016 working on Indoor Lighting Team, after about a 5 years at Honeywell Inc.

I'm attending Masters in
Computer Engineering from University of Massachusetts - Amherst and will be graduating in May-2017.

I graduated with a Bachelors in
Electronics & Communication Engineering from University of Rajasthan in 2009.

In collaboration with Civic Data Design Lab at MIT, I'm building an interactive mapping tool called Atlas of Lighting to determine the impact of lighting intensity in diverse areas of the city with tons of data and machine learning.

Home Depot Product Search Relevance
Spring '16

Home Depot wanted the kagglers to predict the search relevance for the requested query using Machine Learning technique. I used word2vec's skip-gram model to show the relationship between the query and product.

Used Netflix data set for prediction of ratings, given the user and the movie.

Cataract Detection using CNN
Summer '16

A web application which takes an image and classifies if a person has cataract or not using CNN.

Bazaar: Peer to Peer Trading System
Spring'16

Bazaar is a peer to peer network to make smooth transaction between sellers and buyers. Implemented Bully Algorithm for leader election and also implemented Lamport Clock in trading process for event ordering.


Wireless Sensor Networks in Smart Home Environments

Raspberry Pi interfaced to a sensor is employed as a Smart Sensor node.


And a little bit about me...


I enjoy critically reasoning and debating controversial topics. Topics that particularly interest me are India, education, politics, technology, and economics.

I enjoy hiking, cricket, eating and reading about tech. I'm compiling a list of my favorite books, videos, articles and news sources on the internet in a list called where the knowledge is.

I love Hindi music and have a large Spotify playlist going, cleverly marketed as the Best Hindi Playlist on Spotify. I also like Keane and Michael Jackson and have recently gotten into music from different countries. When working, I listen to ambient storm sounds on Noisli.
